Chad Christensen
98.6% IFF Freedom Index lifetime. Documented Oath Keepers member. Sued his own constituent for defamation. The full court-record archive lives at chadchristensen.org.
Who he is
Chad Christensen represented Idaho House District 32, Seat B as a Republican from December 2018 through November 2022. He lost his 2022 primary to a Republican challenger and left office. He has surfaced again in District 35A.
His record while in office is an unusually clean fit with the Idaho Freedom Foundation profile. A 98.6 percent lifetime IFF Freedom Index score, with the 2021 cycle at 100 percent. That is what an IFF-aligned legislator looks like. Not someone who occasionally agrees with the IFF position. Someone who votes the IFF position essentially every time.
The full archival record of Christensen’s pre-legislative criminal cases, his documented termination from Idaho State Probation and Parole, his documented rejection from the Blackfoot Police Department, his sworn deposition testimony on his own conduct in office, the covert-recording incident, and dedicated profile pages on the IFF operatives around him lives at chadchristensen.org. That archive is the place to read the full file. This page exists to put the network alignment on the public record and point readers to the deeper source.
The IFF score
A 98.6 percent lifetime score is functionally indistinguishable from voting the IFF position on every contested bill. The Idaho Freedom Foundation produces model legislation, scores it, and uses the scores to drive primary challenges against Republican legislators who deviate. A legislator at 98.6 percent is not being scored against the IFF position. He is the position.
DOCUMENTED — IFF FREEDOM INDEX
Chad Christensen's lifetime Idaho Freedom Foundation Freedom Index score is 98.6%. His 2021 cycle voting record measured at 100%.
What’s on the public record
-
- BSU defund campaign over Boise State University’s installation of gender-neutral bathrooms.
-
- Appearance in Idaho Freedom Foundation video content criticizing Republican Governor Brad Little’s COVID-19 response. The IFF was actively cultivating Ammon Bundy’s People’s Rights Network audience for fundraising and organizing during the same period.
- 2020-2022. Vocal opposition to vaccines and social-distancing measures throughout the pandemic.
- Documented Oath Keepers membership per Wikipedia and contemporaneous reporting. The Oath Keepers leadership was federally prosecuted for seditious conspiracy related to January 6, 2021.
- February 2021. Filed defamation suit against an Idaho constituent (the operator of Political Potatoes / Idaho Voters and Snake River Strategies). The defendant counterclaimed against Christensen, Greg Pruett, and Dustin Hurst. The case is active. The deeper court-record file lives at chadchristensen.org.
- Pre-legislative termination from Idaho State Probation and Parole. Pre-legislative rejection from the Blackfoot Police Department. Both documented at the chadchristensen.org archive.
A 98.6 percent IFF score plus Oath Keepers membership plus appearing in IFF-produced video attacks on a sitting Republican governor is the IFF instrument profile. It is what the IFF legislator-recruitment pipeline produces when it works.
The network around him
Christensen’s position inside the IFF apparatus is documented through the in-office record above and through the post-office archive. The operators around him:
- Greg Pruett (Idaho Second Amendment Alliance / Honor Idaho / Idaho Dispatch). Pruett’s network sat alongside Christensen’s defamation litigation. Pruett admitted under oath in the counterclaim record to publishing an article written by someone else under his own name (byline fraud) and to lying in proceedings. Pruett’s I2AA Political Director Christy Zito took over I2AA leadership in February 2021, the same month Christensen filed against the constituent who would become a counterclaim defendant.
- Dustin Hurst (former IFF VP of Communications, now Senior Director of Development at PUP, still operationally tied to IFF via IFPAC and Honor Idaho registered-agent role). A three-year civil stalking injunction was granted against Hurst by an Idaho judge after a finding of sufficient evidence he had engaged in stalking against the same plaintiff who was reporting on the Pruett-Christensen network.
- Bryan Smith (IFF Vice Chair, Idaho GOP National Committeeman, Idaho Falls attorney). Documented as the single largest itemized donor ($1,600) to the I2AA fundraising disclosure that included the I2AA pro-Zito CBS2 TV ad in 2020.
- Doyle Beck (IFF board member, dark-money donor). Anchors the East Idaho IFF operation. The Bonneville County / IFF / Beck / Smith axis is the geographic and financial center of gravity for the Christensen-adjacent network.
The deeper file
The public-interest archive at chadchristensen.org is where the deeper material lives. Pre-legislative criminal cases. Probation-and-parole termination. Blackfoot PD rejection. Sworn deposition testimony from Christensen himself on his own conduct in office. The covert-recording incident and the network operatives involved. Profile pages on Hurst, Smith, and the other operators in the IFF apparatus around him.
This page is the network-position summary. The archive is the primary file.
