The Block
The Idaho Freedom Caucus is the in-legislature manifestation of the IFF policy agenda. It functions as a voting bloc, members whip each other’s votes, coordinate floor speeches, and collectively oppose or support bills as a unit.
Scott Herndon chairs it. The caucus’s positions match the IFF’s positions with near-perfect fidelity, because the two organizations share donors, messaging, and, via Maria Nate’s State Freedom Caucus Network, operational whip authority.
The Citizens Alliance Connection
The Idaho Freedom Caucus is tied financially and organizationally to Citizens Alliance of Idaho, the state-level affiliate of Cliff Maloney’s Citizens Alliance of America. Beck is a major donor. IFC members receive campaign support through this pipeline.
