Faye Thompson
House D8 counterpart to Sen. Christy Zito. Votes with the Idaho Freedom Caucus bloc on contested floor calls. Same district, same script, same Citizens Alliance funding pipeline.
Who she is
Faye Thompson represents Idaho House District 8B as a Republican. Her D8 Senate counterpart is Christy Zito, the founding member of the Idaho Freedom Caucus and the legislator at the deepest end of Greg Pruett’s propaganda network.
Thompson’s voting record on contested floor calls aligns with the Idaho Freedom Caucus bloc whipped by Maria Nate’s State Freedom Caucus Network. When the IFC bloc moves on a contested bill, Thompson moves with it.
(Note: there is more than one notable public figure named Faye Thompson in the United States, including a Faye Ann Thompson with a published 2018 obituary that surfaces in search. This page is about the sitting Idaho state representative, not other figures by the same name.)
Same district, same script
District 8 produces a paired-vote signature. Sen. Christy Zito and Rep. Faye Thompson represent the same Idaho geography under the same legislative-bloc affiliation, fund-raised through the same Citizens Alliance pipeline, with the same out-of-state funding source. They vote together on the contested bills the IFC bloc whips. The pairing is structural, not coincidental.
The legislator at the center of the District 8 paired-vote signature is Zito, whose dossier documents the deepest Pruett-network entanglement of any legislator in the Idaho legislature: Political Director and Board Member of Pruett’s flagship organization, dedicated GregPruett.com archive tag, dedicated ThankChristyZito.com domain, six Pruett-operated content surfaces all promoting her, and the I2AA TV ad that required state enforcement to surface in campaign-finance disclosure. Read the Zito dossier for the Pruett-network anchor of the District 8 operation.
Thompson’s role in the District 8 operation is to mirror the Senate-side voting on the House side. She is the House half of the paired signature.
Who funds her
Per the Idaho SOS Sunshine campaign-finance database, Thompson’s $500-or-more donors for the 2024 D8 House primary:
| Amount | Donor |
|---|---|
| $1,000 | Monty Moore |
| $500 | Lynn Wood |
Thompson’s direct-donor list at this threshold is short. The IFF leadership donor names — Beck, Smith, Regan — do not appear at $500 or above on her candidate-committee disclosures. Network funding came in through the institutional pipeline below.
Thompson herself donated $500 to Sen. Christy Zito’s 2024 Senate D8 campaign — the Gang of 8 cross-fund pattern. Same district, same script, same money flowing both ways.
The funding pipeline
The Idaho Freedom Caucus bloc Thompson votes with is supported in primaries by Citizens Alliance of Idaho PAC. Per Steve Taggart’s April 7, 2026 Political Potatoes investigation, CAI is 99.72% funded by the national Citizens Alliance PAC out of Fairfax, Virginia. The national PAC is over 72% funded by POM of Pennsylvania, LLC, a company that manufactures gaming machines marketed under a “skill” classification and is currently being sued by the Pennsylvania Attorney General for using that classification to circumvent state gambling laws.
Idaho banned similar machines in 2015.
DOCUMENTED — CITIZENS ALLIANCE FUNDING ARCHITECTURE
Citizens Alliance of Idaho PAC, the funding vehicle backing Idaho Freedom Caucus-aligned candidates including the District 8 delegation, is 99.72% funded by national Citizens Alliance PAC, which is over 72% funded by POM of Pennsylvania, LLC, currently being sued by the Pennsylvania AG over its 'skill' gaming machines.
Where she sits in the network
Thompson coordinates her contested-bill voting with the Magic Valley delegation, including Rep. Clint Hostetler in House District 24 and the broader Senate-side IFC bloc led by Sen. Scott Herndon. The Pruett propaganda network — Honor Idaho, Idaho Dispatch, Keep Idaho Free, GregPruett.com — supplies the bill-by-bill framing the bloc votes with.
The Idaho Freedom Foundation publishes a Freedom Index that grades every legislator’s votes against the IFF’s preferred positions. The index lives at index.idahofreedom.org.
